Backyard BBQ Competition
Fall Fest 2025

Regulations and Instructions:

1. Set up: Friday, September 26, 2025 – $200 Sponsor Fee.  Setup may begin in the Glenrock Town Park beginning at noon.
2. All meat will be provided and distributed by BBQ Manager by 6:00 pm Friday September 26 and randomly assigned to each team.
3. A mandatory BBQ competitor meeting will be Friday September 26 at 7:00 pm with BBQ Manager.
4. Teams must be ready to serve judges on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
   • Beans (if entered) at 12:30
   • Pork turn in at 1:00
   • Brisket turn in at 1:30
5. Teams are responsible for delivering their own plate to the judges’ area.  Five minutes before and five minutes after turn-in time.  Early or late turn in will be disqualified.
6. Teams must use charcoal and/or wood or wood pellets.
7. Optional Category – BEST OF THE WEST BEANS.  Cooked on site.
8. Teams must provide ice chests for meat storage.
9. Each team must cook 25 lbs of Pork Butt and 25 lbs of Beef Brisket (meat will be provided to each team).
10. Cooking is only permitted to be done on site.
11. All meat will be handled in a sanitary manner.
12. The Team will provide all seasonings and “secret ingredients”.
13. Teams are responsible for providing tables and chairs that you might need in your cooking area.
14. Some type of fire extinguishing device should be readily available to each team.
15. Judging will be scored on: Appearance/Taste/Tenderness.
16. All meat and beans not presented to the judges will be served by a separate party to the public for BBQ Sampling and for People’s Choice voting.
17. The monetary donations from the meat sampling will be presented to a local school organization of a local Non-Profit organization (such as: school lunch program, wrestling club, FFA club, basketball club, local food bank program, and etc.)
18. After awards are presented, except people’s choice, each cooking team is allowed to stary for other events or can pack up.
19. People’s choice award will be announced later in the day and on Elevate Glenrock’s Facebook Page and awards will be mailed to the winning individuals.
