2024 Deer Creek Days Art Show
Show Entry Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in this year’s Deer Creek Days Art Show. Our primary focus is promoting art, not only in our local community, but also surrounding areas. We strive to assist artists in promoting and improving their work, and are lucky to have a variety of artists. We’re here to celebrate and showcase your work with this fun show. We wish you luck!
LOCATION: Glenrock Library
WELCOME TOAST & RECPETION: June 29, 2024 @ 1:00 pm
ENTRY FEE: Free for youth and children division, $5 per entry for adult divisions.
- Fees are non-refundable.
- Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class for adult divisions and categories.
Amounts are determined by sponsorship amounts and entry fees, and may not be known until pickup. - People’s Choice award of a rosette ribbon will be presented this year. There will be one awarded for each division.
- Youth and children will receive item prizes, to be determined by sponsorship amounts and number of
entries. - Entries may be dropped off during library hours starting June 19th and ending June 24th. No late entries
will be accepted. - There is a limit of 5 entries per person.
To determine your Division, Please Use the Following Division Guidelines:
- Professional: Those who derive a significant amount of income from their art, produce their art primarily for selling,
or have a diploma, certificate, degree, or three or more years in school or training, or those who teach art. - Advanced Amateur: Those who have exhibited and won first place in any art show.
- Amateur: Those who have not won 1st prize in any art show or have had little to no schooling.
- Youth: Those eleven years old or older on or before June 1st, 2024, but have not reached their 17th birthday by June 1st 2024.
- Children: Those who have not reached their 11th birthday by June 1st, 2024.
Submission Rules, Guidelines & Additional Information
- Professional and Advanced Amateur will be judged together.
- All entries should be submitted ready to display: mounted, framed, etc.
- ALL entries must be able to be displayable on easels, tabletops, or wall hangers .
- If your piece is especially awkward or heavy, please call the library and talk with Jennifer or Erin at
307-436-2573, so we have a place ready. - All entries must be your own original work, no kits or guided work.
- All entries must have been completed within the last 3 years.
- No watermarks or signatures can be visible on your piece.
- Sizes: 2D pieces should be a maximum of 3ft x 3ft. 3D entries should be a maximum of 3ft x 3ft x 6ft
tall. If you have an oversized piece you would like to enter, please call Jennifer or Erin at the number
listed above. - People’s Choice voting will close at 6:00pm on Friday, June 28th
- Ribbons will be placed by Saturday, June 29th
- Public viewing will be during Glenrock Library’s regular business hours, from Friday June 28th until
Saturday June 29th at 2:00pm. - Pick up date & times: Saturday, June 29th at 2:00pm. No early pickups are allowed. If you are unable to
pick up at the designated time, you must make prior arrangements for someone else to do so. - If you have any questions, please call Jennifer or Erin at 307-436-2573.
