1st Annual Deer Creek Days Chalk Art Challenge
Guidelines and Rules for Chalk Artists
Artists:
- Only registered artists may participate in the event.
- Artists will need to sign a general liability waiver with the Glenrock Town Square.
- Art square will be assigned at the time of arrival.
- Art Squares preferences will be given to pre-registered artist.
- Artists will start at 1:00 pm and should be finished by 4:00 pm.
- Adult, Youth & Family/Team artists spaces will be 5ft x 5ft.
Chalk:
- There will be a small supply of chalk available for artists to use with water cups.
- Any addition chalk or paster must be provided by the artist, but must be WATER based.
- Only chalk can be used for drawings, no paint. Crayon or marking chalk can be used or any permanent products will be allowed.
Art & Artist Rules:
- Chalk art will only be produced in designated and assigned areas.
- The art created must be suitable for public and family viewing (no nude or lewd work).
- No words, symbols, or caricatures intended as political statements may appear on the art.
- Calk art director reserves the right to refuse, stop or eliminate objectionable art.
- Please respect other artists working near you and do not walk on others work.
Suggested Supplies:
- Whisk broom or brush to clear the surface before painting.
- Soft towel or gardening pad for knees.
- Sponges and cloth.
- 2×2 piece of cardboard or fabric carpet to sit or stand on, to avoid smearing work.
- Sunscreen, sunglasses and hat for sun exposure.
- Brushes.
